The CGI was a little unrealistic at times and the film was probably 30/45mins too long but apart from that its difficult to fault too much. The casting was brilliant; probably one of the best I've ever seen. The kids from IT: chapter 1 are all grown up, and look how i imagined they would.
It is not the scariest horror film i have ever experienced, but there are plenty of jump scares which worked well. The comedy from the first film carried over to this one, with one liners from Eddie which had me in stitches.
Overall i would ignore the bad reviews and experience the film for yourself. It is definitely worth a watch.
